Frequently asked

How do I connect my Stripe account?

From your PayFix dashboard, click Connect Stripe and approve the OAuth prompt. PayFix starts listening for failed-payment events immediately — no further setup needed.

Does PayFix store credit card data?

No. PayFix never sees or stores card numbers. All card data stays inside Stripe's PCI-compliant environment. We only read failed-payment metadata (customer, amount, failure reason) via your Stripe connection.

How is PayFix different from Stripe's built-in Smart Retries?

Stripe Smart Retries only schedules card retries. PayFix layers personalized dunning emails on top, with configurable templates and timing, and gives you a clear recovery dashboard. You can use both together.

Will PayFix send emails to my customers?

Yes — when configured, PayFix sends dunning emails using the templates you provide. You control the subject, body, and timing of every step.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings. No contract, no phone calls. Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy after cancellation.

I installed the Stripe App but it shows 'Not connected'.

The Stripe App needs to be linked to your PayFix account. Open the PayFix app inside Stripe Dashboard, click the link, and sign in with your PayFix credentials. After that, all views populate automatically.

How long does Stripe App approval take?

Stripe typically reviews app submissions in 1-3 weeks. We're listed via the Stripe App Marketplace once approved.

Reporting a security issue?

Please email support@payfixapp.com with details. We treat security reports as priority and will acknowledge within 24 hours.
